Hot chicken salad
Ingredients/Components
- lemon juice
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- mayonnaise - 1 c
- grated Cheddar cheese
- hard-cooked eggs, chopped - 3 item
- minced onion - 1 3
- diced celery
- potato chips - 1 item
- chopped almonds - 1/2 c
- chopped chicken - 3 c
- can chopped, drained water chestnuts - 1 item
How to make hot chicken salad:
Combine chicken, celery, almonds, water chestnuts, onions, lemon juice, eggs and pepper. Add mayonnaise and toss. Put in baking dish. Sprinkle generously with cheese and potato chips. Bake at 375° for 25 minutes.Note: You may substitute cream of chicken soup for 1/2 of mayonnaise.
