Hot chicken salad
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- mayonnaise - 3/4 c
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- slivered almonds - 1 c
- onion, minced - 4 Tbsp
- cans cream of chicken soup - 2 item
- celery - 2 c
- hard-boiled eggs, sliced - 3 item
- large can chow mein noodles - 1 item
- chicken, cooked, chopped - 2 c
How to make hot chicken salad:
Mix all ingredients (except the chow mein noodles) in a large bowl. Place 1/2 the noodles in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. Add remaining ingredients. Top with the rest of the noodles. Preheat oven to 375° and bake 30 to 40 minutes.May be baked in a microwave: Cook, covered, on Full power 10 to 15 minutes; reduce power to bake, cook for another 10 minutes. Note: The noodles are not as crisp when baked in a microwave.
