Hot cabbage slaw
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 item
- Crisco - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 item
- apple cider vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- large onion, shredded - 1 item
- 6-inch head cabbage, shredded
How to make hot cabbage slaw:
Mix cabbage, onion, salt and pepper and let sit at least 4 hours before fixing dressing. Take Crisco and place in large frying pan; melt and add a handful of cabbage and onion and saute until it starts to turn brown. Add apple cider vinegar and cook 1 minute. Pour over rest of cabbage to what has been added 1 tablespoon sugar. Mix thoroughly and place on low heat and heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally.Recipe categories: Low protein, Side dish, Vegetables.
