Hot buttered rum
Ingredients/Components
- apple cider or juice - 2 c
- water
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- dark rum - 1/2 c
- vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- cinnamon sticks - 4 item
- minced crystallized ginger or 1/2 tsp - 1 Tbsp
How to make hot buttered rum:
Combine apple cider, water, sugar and ginger in a microwavable bowl. Microwave on High until sugar dissolves and liquid begins to bubble, 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in rum and vanilla extract.
