Hot bean compote
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- onion powder - 1/2 tsp
- slices bacon - 4 item
- kidney beans, drained - 1 can
- cut green beans, drained - 1 can
- wax beans, drained - 1 can
How to make hot bean compote:
Cook bacon crisp; set aside on paper towel. To bacon drippings add next 5 ingredients; stir until smooth. Add vinegar and beans, and cook over medium heat, stirring, for 30 minutes. Crumble bacon over top before serving.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Side dish, Beans.
