Honey-peanut squares
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- honey or light corn syrup - 1/2 c
- corn flakes - 4 c
- creamy peanut butter - 1/2 c
- salted peanuts if desired - 1/2 c
How to make honey-peanut squares:
Butter square pan (8 x 8 x 2). Heat honey and sugar just to boiling in a 3-quart pan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter. Fold in cereal and peanuts. Press firmly in pan. Let stand at least 1 hour. Cut into 1 1/2-inch squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie.
