  • salt - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • baking powder
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 1/2 c
  • honey - 2 Tbsp
  • whole wheat flour - 1 c
  • yellow cornmeal

How to make honey cornbread:

Combine the cornmeal, whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt and soda in a large mixing bowl. Set side. Combine buttermilk, oil, eggs and honey. Add to dry ingredients, mixing well. Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cut cornbread into 2-inch squares to serve.
