Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- buttermilk
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- honey - 2 Tbsp
- whole wheat flour - 1 c
- yellow cornmeal
How to make honey cornbread:
Combine the cornmeal, whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt and soda in a large mixing bowl. Set side. Combine buttermilk, oil, eggs and honey. Add to dry ingredients, mixing well. Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
