Homemade vegetable soup
Ingredients/Components
- can whole tomatoes - 1 item
- beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
- small head cabbage, chopped - 1 item
- medium size potatoes - 5 item
- carrots, sliced thin - 2 item
- medium size onion, chopped - 1 item
- V-8 or tomato juice
- beef roast blade cut works well - 1 item
- celery, washed and chopped leaves too! - 1 item
How to make homemade vegetable soup:
Put roast in Dutch oven. Dissolve the bouillon cubes in hot water. Add water just to top of roast. Cook for about 20 minutes (to get good broth) in a 250° oven.Meanwhile, cut vegetables bite size; add all at once. Add a little more water, if needed. Add salt and pepper. Cook in the oven at 250° for about 4 to 5 hours.
