  • sugar - 1 qt
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • red pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • tomatoes - 1 gal
  • vinegar use less if too strong - 1 qt

How to make homemade tomato catsup:

Crush tomatoes through colander. Combine all ingredients. In a large pan cook slowly until thick. Put in jars and seal.
