Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 4 Tbsp
- garlic, minced - 4 Tbsp
- sweet onions, chopped - 2 c
- tomatoes, skinned and seeded - 4 qt
- jalapeno peppers, seeded and thinly sliced
How to make homemade salsa:
Bring 3 quarts of tomatoes to a boil and slowly simmer until reduced in half (about 2 hours). Stir often to prevent burning. Add the rest of the tomatoes and all other ingredients. Simmer 20 minutes. Makes 5 pints.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Sauces, Salsas.
