Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/4 c
- plain flour - 1 item
- egg, well beaten - 1 item
- lukewarm water - 1 c
- yeast cake - 1 item
How to make homemade rolls:
In bowl, put sugar, salt and lukewarm water and mix well. Add yeast cake. Blend in shortening and egg. Add enough sifted, plain flour to make a soft dough. Store in refrigerator. Punch out and shape into rolls as needed. Let rolls rise and bake at 450° until brown.
