Homemade pizza
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- tomato sauce
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 1/2 c
- Mozzarella cheese, grated - 1/2 c
- dry yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c - 1 pkg
- other toppings as desired - 1 item
How to make homemade pizza:
Topping:3/4 c. tomato sauce1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated1/4 c. Parmesan cheese other toppings as desired Dough: Pour the flour onto a work surface. Shape it into a mound and make a hollow in the center. Put the salt, dissolved yeast and olive oil in the hollow. Draw the sides in together. Work with your hands until all the ingredients are amalgamated. Form a ball of dough. Knead for about 8 minutes. Allow to rise in a floured bowl for 3 hours, covered by a damp cloth.Roll out into a 10 to 11-inch disk on a pizza pan or baking stone. Spread grated cheeses and sauce evenly over the dough. You may add more sauce and cheese as desired. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in a preheated 450° oven.
