Homemade egg noodles
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- egg yolks - 3 item
- cold water - 3 Tbsp
- whole egg - 1 item
How to make homemade egg noodles:
Beat yolks and egg well. Beat in water and salt. Stir in flour with spoon (dough is stiff). Knead in last of the flour. Divide into 3 parts. Roll each piece as thin as possible on lightly floured working area. Place on paper towels until dough is dry enough for cutting with a thin, sharp knife. Cut into strips of desired widths (1/8-inch to 3/8-inch). Shake strips and allow to dry before using, storing or freezing in sealed container. Cook in desired amount of chicken or turkey broth until tender. Makes 6 cups or 10 ounces.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Pasta, Pasta, rice and grains.
