How to make homemade dog biscuits:
Combine all dry ingredients, except yeast. In separate bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Add chicken broth (can use bouillon, pan drippings or water from cooking vegetables). Add liquid to dry ingredients. Knead mixture for about 3 minutes. Dough will be quite stiff. If too stiff, add extra liquid or an egg. Preheat oven to 300°. Roll dough on floured board to 1/2-inch thickness. Immediately cut into shape with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; brush with a wash of egg and milk. Place in oven. After 75 minutes, turn off oven and cover biscuits overnight in oven to get bone hard.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Novelty, Pet food.
