Homemade chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour
- margarine, softened - 1 c
- semi-sweet chocolate chips 12 oz - 1 pkg
- c coarsely chopped nuts - 1 item
How to make homemade chocolate chip cookies:
Heat oven to 375°. Mix margarine, sugars and egg. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown 8 to 10 minutes (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Makes about 6 dozen cookies; 90 calories per cookie.If using self-rising flour, omit baking soda and salt.
