Homemade chicken noodle soup



  • salt - 2 tsp
  • water - 2 qt
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • onion, finely chopped - 1 item
  • broiler-fryer chicken, cut up - 1 (2
  • stalk celery, finely chopped - 1 item
  • fresh parsley, minced or 1 tsp - 2 Tbsp
  • rosemary, crushed - 1 tsp
  • uncooked noodles - 2 c

How to make homemade chicken noodle soup:

Place all ingredients except noodles in a kettle or Dutch oven. Bring to a boil. Simmer 1 hour or until chicken is tender. Remove chicken. Cool and discard skin. Remove meat from bones and chop. Return chicken to stock and bring to a boil. Stir in noodles. Simmer 20 to 30 minutes or until noodles are done.
