Ingredients/Components
- buttermilk - 1 c
- shortening - 1/4 c
- self-rising flour - 2 c
How to make homemade biscuits:
Blend flour and shortening together. Add buttermilk; stir well. Put dough mixture on a floured surface; knead 2 or 3 times. Cut biscuits with biscuit cutter or a cup. Place biscuits on a greased pan; put a little melted shortening on top of biscuit. Bake at 400° until golden brown.
