Ingredients/Components
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- sifted flour
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- candied cherries - 1 lb
- mixed fruit and peel - 1 lb
- can mincemeat rum and brandy flavor - 1 oz
- Eagle Brand condensed milk 15 oz
How to make holiday fruitcake:
Butter pan and line with waxed paper and butter again. Sift flour and soda. Combine eggs, mincemeat, condensed milk, fruit and nuts. Fold in dry ingredients. Pour into loaf pan. Bake at 300° for 2 hours.Individual fruitcakes or 2 smaller pans work out fine. Adjust baking time.
