Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- flour
- butter - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg whites, beaten - 7 item
- finely grated hickory nuts - 2 c
How to make hickory nut cake:
Sift flour with baking powder. Cream butter and sugar. Add milk and flour alternately to mixture. Add vanilla and fold in egg whites and nuts. Bake at 350° until done. Frost cake with white icing and decorate with halves or hickory nuts.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Breads.
