Hi-protein honey wheat bread
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 3 c
- water - 1 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- rolled oats - 1/2 c
- honey - 1/2 c
- whole wheat flour - 3 c
- cottage cheese - 1 c
- yeast - 2 Tbsp
How to make hi-protein honey wheat bread:
Heat water, honey, margarine and cottage cheese until 120°. Add 2 cups flour, eggs, salt, oats, nuts and yeast. Beat until smooth. Stir in remaining flour to form a soft dough. Knead dough on floured surface for 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl and cover. Let rise until double, about 1 hour. Punch dough down. Form 2 balls and let rest for 15 minutes. Shape into 2 loaves. Place in pans and cover; let rise until double. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Makes 2 loaves.Recipe categories: Breads, American, Yeast breads.
