- salt - 1 item
- margarine or butter - 1 item
- pepper - 1 item
- or 5 tomatoes - 4 item
- basil leaves or oregano - 1 item
How to make herbed tomatoes:
Remove stem ends from 4 or 5 medium tomatoes. Cut each tomato in half. Set oven control to broil. Dot each half with 1/2 teaspoon margarine or butter. Sprinkle each half with salt, pepper and basil leaves or oregano. Broil tomato halves 3-inches from heat for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Tomato.
