Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 item
- egg - 1 item
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- poultry seasoning - 1/8 tsp
- dry bread crumbs - 1/3 c
- cooked brown or white rice - 1 c
How to make herbed rice puffs:
Beat egg; stir in rice, poultry seasoning, salt and cheese. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Shape by rounded teaspoonfuls into fifteen 1-inch balls. Roll in bread crumbs. Heat oil (2 to 3 inches) in a 2-quart saucepan to 375°. Fry rice balls until golden brown; drain. Makes 15 Rice Puffs.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Side dish, Rice.
