Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- semi-sweet chocolate chips - 16 oz
- water - 2 Tbsp
- large Cool Whip - 1 item
- envelope unflavored Knox gelatine - 1/2 item
- large 10-inch angel food cake - 1 item
How to make heavenly hash cake:
Break cake into pieces size of walnuts. Melt chocolate chips and cool slightly. Dissolve gelatine in water, add to melted chips. In separate bowl, beat eggs until foamy, then mix in with chocolate. Butter the bottom of 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Then add a layer of cake pieces. Pour half the chocolate mixture over the cake, then add another layer of cake and the rest of the chocolate. Spread cake with Cool Whip and chopped nuts. Chill for 24 hours. Cover with foil.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low sodium.
