Heath bar coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- walnuts or pecans - 1/2 c
- to 3 Heath bars, crushed - 2 item
- Reserve 1/2 cup and set aside
How to make heath bar coffee cake:
Mix brown sugar, white sugar, flour and margarine together until crumbly. Reserve 1/2 cup and set aside. Add egg, vanilla, 1 cup buttermilk (with 1 teaspoon baking soda mixed with buttermilk) and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan or dish.Topping:1/2 c. reserved mixture1/2 c. walnuts or pecans2 to 3 Heath bars, crushed Mix ingredients together. Sprinkle over batter.
