  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • butter or oleo - 1/2 c
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • broken pecans - 1/2 c
  • reserved crumb mixture - 1 c
  • Cut in butter until mixture is like cornmeal

How to make heath bar cake:

Stir sugar into flour and mix well with pastry blender. Cut in butter until mixture is like cornmeal. Measure out 1 cup and set aside. To rest of mixture, add egg, milk, soda, salt and vanilla; beat well. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread with topping and bake at 350° for 40 minutes.Topping:6 toffee candy bars1/2 c. broken pecans1 c. reserved crumb mixture Break candy bars with hammer. Blend broken candy pieces with pecans and crumb mixture. Sprinkle on top of cake. Bake.
