  • water - 7 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • chicken bouillon cubes - 4 item
  • sliced carrots - 1 c
  • diced potatoes - 1 c
  • can tomatoes, chopped - 1 oz

How to make hearty vegetable soup:

Combine all ingredients in a 4-quart Dutch oven. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour or until vegetables are tender. Makes 12 to 14 servings.
