Hearty vegetable soup
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- garlic powder - 2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- salt optional - 1 tsp
- carrots, diced - 2 item
- shredded cabbage - 1 2
- seasoned pepper - 1 2
- can diced tomatoes - 1 item
- V-8 juice - 2 c
- to 3 stalks celery - 2 item
- boneless short ribs - 2 lb
- to 5 chicken wings - 3 item
- beef chuck soup bone - 1 item
- to 2 large potatoes, diced - 1 item
How to make hearty vegetable soup:
Boil ribs, chicken wings and soup bone in enough water to cover meat (approximately 20 to 25 minutes). Add all the other ingredients except the potatoes and simmer 2 to 3 hours or put in crock-pot on low for several hours. Add the potatoes several minutes before serving and keep simmering until potatoes are done.Note: You can also add rice, if you wish.
