Hearty tuna casserole
Ingredients/Components
- cans chunk-style tuna - 2 1/2
- 3 c - 6 oz
- sliced green onions - 1/2 c
- sour cream - 1/2 2/3
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- mustard - 2 tsp
- thyme leaves - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 1/2
- small zucchini, sliced - 1 item
- shredded Monterey Jack cheese - 1 c
- medium tomato, chopped - 1 item
How to make hearty tuna casserole:
Drain and flake the tuna. Set aside. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and rinse in hot water. Combine noodles with the tuna, celery and green onions. Blend in the sour cream, mustard, mayonnaise, thyme and salt. Spoon half the mixture into a buttered 2-quart casserole. Top with half the zucchini. Repeat layers. Top with cheese.
