Hawaiian pineapple banana bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla extract - 2 tsp
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- can crushed pineapple, drained - 1 oz
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans or walnuts - 1 c
- mashed, ripe bananas about 5 - 2 c
How to make hawaiian pineapple banana bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Stir in nuts. In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour wet mixture into dry mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.Spoon batter into 2 greased and floured 8 x 4-inch loaf pans. Bake for about 1 1/2 hours. Cool in pans for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and let cool on wire racks.
Note: In Hawaii they use Macadamia nuts. Pecans or walnuts work just as well.
