Hawaiian chicken
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- oil - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 1 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- Minute rice - 1 c
- onion, sliced - 1 item
- fryer, cut up - 1 item
- small green pepper, sliced - 1 item
- can chunk pineapple with juice - 1 1/2
How to make hawaiian chicken:
Brown chicken, remove and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drain pineapple and reserve juice. Cook onion for 3 minutes in drippings. Add broth, pineapple juice and lemon juice. Mix soy sauce, cornstarch and mustard; add to hot liquid, stirring until clear and thickened. Add chicken.
