Ingredients/Components

  • cream cheese - 8 oz
  • chopped pecans - 1/2 c
  • pkg - 6 oz
  • flaked coconut - 1/2 c
  • Cool Whip - 8 oz
  • cold milk
  • yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
  • can crushed pineapple, well drained - 20 oz
  • maraschino cherries, drained and chopped - 1/2 c

How to make hawaiian cake:

Prepare cake according to directions on package. Pour into greased 10 x 15-inch jelly roll pan. Bake in preheated oven of 350° for 15 to 20 minutes or until done. Cool in pan. Blend pudding mix with milk; beat in cream cheese (room temperature), then fold in Cool Whip. Spread on cooled cake. Sprinkle drained pineapple over pudding, then cherries, nuts and coconut. Refrigerate until ready to cut. Can be made a day ahead.
