Hawaiian beets
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- margarine - 4 Tbsp
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- can pineapple tidbits - 1 oz
- cans diced beets, drained - 2 lb
How to make hawaiian beets:
Mix sugar, salt, cornstarch and cloves. Add vinegar. Pour over pineapple. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Add beets and margarine. Cook until thick. Cool.
