  • pkg - 1 oz
  • sour cream - 1 pt
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 2 c
  • onion, chopped - 1/2 c

How to make hash brown potato casserole:

Mix ingredients in large buttered casserole. Top with 2 cups crushed corn flakes mixed with 1/4 cup butter. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

Variation: I use the shredded hash brown patties (1 large box) instead of the cubed hash browns.
