Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • butter or margarine, melted - 1/4 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
  • crushed corn flakes - 1 c
  • bag frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed - 1 (32

How to make hash brown casserole:

Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. In a large bowl, combine cheese, soup, sour cream, onion, 1/4 cup melted butter, salt and pepper and mix well. Fold in thawed hash brown potatoes. Put into prepared baking dish.

Toss together the crushed corn flakes and 1 tablespoon melted butter or margarine. Sprinkle over potato mixture. Bake at 350° for 1 hour, uncovered.
