Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • melted margarine - 1/4 c
  • melted butter - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • crushed cornflakes - 1 c
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
  • salt and pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • cream of chicken soup - 1 c

How to make hash brown casserole:

Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan. Combine cheese soup, sour cream, onion, margarine, salt and pepper. Mix well; fold in hash browns and pour into baking dish. Toss cornflakes with margarine and sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350° for one hour or until golden and potatoes are tender. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
