- salt - 1/4 tsp
- melted butter - 1 Tbsp

- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 3/4
- crushed corn flakes - 1 c
- finely chopped onion - 1 c
- shredded American or Cheddar cheese - 2 c

How to make hash brown casserole:
In large mixing bowl, combine cheese, soup (undiluted), sour cream, onion, 1/4 cup butter, salt and pepper. Mix well. Fold in hash browns. Turn mixture into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Toss together corn flakes and 1 tablespoon melted butter. Sprinkle onto potato mixture.
