Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/3 c
- can beets - 1 item
- vinegar, diluted - 1/3 c
How to make harvard beets:
Melt butter; add flour and cook slowly, stirring constantly to form a smooth paste. Add vinegar, sugar and water; cook until thick. Place beets in baking dish. Pour sauce over beets. Cover lightly. Place in oven to cook with rest of oven meal.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
