Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cornstarch - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- hot beet juice - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- can sliced beets, drained - 1 lb
How to make harvard beets:
In a 2-quart saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and pepper. Add beet juice and vinegar. Simmer, uncovered, over low heat; stir until clear and thickened, about 5 minutes. Add beets and heat until hot. Yield: 4 servings.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
