Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 item
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- cans beets, drained - 2 oz
How to make harvard beets:
Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add vinegar and water. Boil 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add butter and drained beets. Salt to taste. Let stand over low heat 1/2 hour.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
