Hamburger vegetable soup
Ingredients/Components
- water - 3 c
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onions - 1 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- ketchup - 1/4 c
- dried parsley flakes - 1/4 c
- dried basil leaves - 1 2
- sliced carrots - 1 c
- sliced celery - 1 c
- onion powder - 2 tsp
- beef broth - 3 c
- dried thyme leaves - 1/4 tsp
- ground beef or turkey - 1 lb
- Drain well
- can whole tomatoes, undrained and cut up - 1 oz
- Homemade Seasoned Rice Mix - 1/2 c
- instant beef flavor bouillon - 6 tsp
How to make hamburger vegetable soup:
In 4-quart saucepan or Dutch oven, brown ground beef with onions, carrots and celery. Drain well. Add remaining ingredients; stir to combine. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 25 to 35 minutes or until vegetables and rice are tender. Remove bay leaf.Homemade Seasoned Rice Mix:3 c. uncooked regular rice1/4 c. dried parsley flakes6 tsp. instant beef flavor bouillon2 tsp. onion powder1/2 tsp. garlic powder1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves In storage container with tight fitting lid, combine all ingredients and mix well.
