Hamburger vegetable soup
Ingredients/Components
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- carrots, sliced - 2 item
- macaroni - 1/2 c
- green bell pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- chopped okra - 1 pkg
- can whole kernel corn and liquid - 1 item
- ribs celery, sliced - 2 item
- potatoes, chopped - 2 item
- lean ground round beef - 1 lb
- can stewed tomatoes and liquid - 1 item
How to make hamburger vegetable soup:
Saute meat and onion until meat loses its pink color; drain. Add remaining ingredients, except macaroni. Simmer on low heat about 1 hour. Add macaroni and 1 cup of water, if needed. Continue simmering until macaroni is done. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste. You may use leftover pot roast and broth in place of hamburger and add any leftover vegetables you might have in refrigerator.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Main dish, One Dish meal.
