Hamburger pot pie
Ingredients/Components
- sifted flour - 2 c
- Crisco - 3/4 c
- onion salt - 1/2 tsp
- Cut Crisco into flour, mixing in onion salt and water and work until like pie crust
- ground beef - 1 lb
- onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- can green beans, drained - 1 oz
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- oregano - 1/8 tsp
How to make hamburger pot pie:
Preheat oven to 400° or if using metal pan heat to 425°. Cut Crisco into flour, mixing in onion salt and water and work until like pie crust. Divide dough in half. Roll out and put half of crust in pie can.FILLING1 Tbsp. Crisco1 lb. ground beef1/2 c. onion, chopped1 (15 oz.) can green beans, drained1 Tbsp. sugar1 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. pepper1/8 tsp. oregano Brown ground beef and onion in skillet and cook until done. Stir in green beans, soup and seasoning. Pour filling into onion pastry crust lined pan. Place top crust over the pie.
