  • ground beef
  • water - 6 c
  • instant beef bouillon or Worcestershire sauce - 3 flavor
  • sliced carrots - 2 c
  • can 3 c - 28 oz
  • chopped onions
  • chopped celery
  • chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
  • barley - 1/3 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • bay leaves - 2 item
  • catsup - 1/4 c
  • can tomato sauce - 8 oz

How to make hamburger barley vegetable soup:

In 5-quart Dutch oven, brown ground beef. Drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 1 hour or until vegetables and barley are tender. Remove bay leaves. Makes 10 (1 1/2-cup) servings.
