Hamburg pie



  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • can tomato soup - 1 item
  • small onion, chopped - 1 item
  • medium potatoes - 5 item
  • warm milk - 1/2 c
  • 2 can French green beans

How to make hamburg pie:

Fry meat until brown. Use some fat to brown onions. Combine with soup, beans, salt and pepper. Place in 1 1/2-quart casserole. Cook potatoes until tender. Mash. Add milk, egg, butter, salt and pepper. Fluff with fork. Spoon potatoes in mounds over meat. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Serves 6.
