Ham and corn chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 2 tsp
- water - 2 c
- paprika - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- potatoes, diced - 4 item
- ham, diced - 2 c
- can corn undrained - 1 item
How to make ham and corn chowder:
In a large pot, melt butter; cook onion and green pepper until tender. Add water, potatoes and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 1/2 hour or until potatoes are done. In small bowl, make paste of flour by adding a few drops of water. Pour into pot. Add corn (undrained) and ham. Heat through, but do not boil as it will curdle.
