Ham and cheese strata
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 2 c
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- mushrooms - 3/4 c
- ham, cut up - 1/2 lb
- cheese Velveeta or Cheddar - 1 to
- pieces cubed bread - 8 item
How to make ham and cheese strata:
Saute onion, mustard and ham. Set aside to cool. Butter 8-inch casserole dish. Put half the bread on bottom and then add half the cheese. Add ham mixture next. Cover with remaining cheese and then bread cubes. Beat eggs, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper and milk. Pour over casserole and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
