Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- to 5 medium green tomatoes - 4 item
How to make green tomato pie:
Slice tomatoes thin and cook in vinegar and a bit of water until tomatoes are tender. Add sugar, butter, cinnamon and cornstarch. Simmer until slightly thickened. Pour into pie crust. Cover with pastry. Punch a few fork holes in top of crust. Sprinkle crust with sugar and a bit of cinnamon. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
