Green tomato pie



  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • vinegar - 3 Tbsp
  • to 5 medium green tomatoes - 4 item

How to make green tomato pie:

Slice tomatoes thin and cook in vinegar and a bit of water until tomatoes are tender. Add sugar, butter, cinnamon and cornstarch. Simmer until slightly thickened. Pour into pie crust. Cover with pastry. Punch a few fork holes in top of crust. Sprinkle crust with sugar and a bit of cinnamon. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Crush should be golden brown.
