Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- brown sugar - 5 lb
- vinegar - 1 c
- cloves - 2 tsp
- allspice - 2 tsp
- chopped raisins - 2 c
- large apples, chopped - 6 item
- peck green tomatoes - 1 item
How to make green tomato mincemeat:
Chop tomatoes; drain off juice. Add as much water as juice that was drained off. Add sugar and raisins. Cook slowly until tomatoes are tender. Add spices and vinegar. Boil for 45 minutes. Add 6 chopped apples. When apples are soft, put in jars and seal. I use food grinder to chop tomatoes, raisins and apples.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low sodium, Low fat.
