Ingredients/Components
- large green tomatoes, sliced - 4 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated Cheddar cheese - 3/4 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
How to make green tomato casserole:
Preheat oven to 400°. Butter casserole dish. Lay 1/3 of tomatoes on bottom. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and 1/4 cup cheese. Repeat with remaining tomatoes. Top with 1/2 cup cheese and dot with butter. Bake covered 40 to 60 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
