Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- minced garlic - 1/4 tsp
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- rice, cooked
- olive oil or butter - 1 Tbsp
- ground or finely chopped parsley or spinach - 1/2 c
How to make green rice:
Saute chopped onion and minced garlic in olive oil or butter. Measure cooked rice and ground parsley into a mixing bowl, then add milk, salt, Worcestershire sauce, Cheddar cheese and slightly beaten eggs. Add sauteed onion and garlic; mix thoroughly and pour mixture into buttered baking dish. Bake in moderate oven at 350° for about 40 minutes.
